About the fibre
Thanks to its lightness and ease of use, raffia is ideal for natural cladding. Fibre strips are extracted from the palm leaf, then used for making mats, horticultural ties, hats and decorative objects. Fibre extraction helps to maintain and regenerate palm forests.
RAFFIA 2 WALLCOVERING
Raffia has achieved a new handicraft feat : it has embodied 3 dimensions. Thus it presents itself crafted in two ways, in a creation which doubles its natural beauty with true creative originality. With its pompoms placed randomly by the craftsman, sometimes even tinted manually in tie-dye, it is adorned with lightness.
