About the fibre
This regal marsh plant has left its mark on the minds of all mankind with one image: paper, the gift of the Nile, in the hands of the Egyptians. And yet papyrus grows far beyond Egypt, not only in Africa but also in Asia, where its various parts are used for a wide variety of purposes: basketry, rope, loincloths, boats, etc.
PAPYRUS WALLCOVERING
We sometimes come across exceptional plants in aquatic environments. Introducing papyrus and seaweed, two rare, if not new figures in the world of wallcovering. In the richly textured relief of these handcrafted weaves, tinted with shades of tobacco, sand or bark, ancient times emerge.
